Wordpress landing page. Tracking

Hi there!

Is it possible to use a Wordpress (WP) site as landing page? The question targets to the Conversion tracking tool or Google Analytics code acceptance.

Is there any other issue to take into account while using a WP site?

Thanks in advance!

Alfredo,

Word press is just like and other HTML or PHP coded site.

For Google Anlaytics, you will want to but the Analytics code before the </head> tag for most efficient use.

In wordpress Appearance - Themes- Edit the Header.php template and paste the code before the </head>

If you use a plugin or your theme has a custom template edit area, add the code there. But I would check with a viewsource to make sure your code is located in the head section.

If you are using Google Adwords conversion tool, or remarketing scripts, the script should or can be added into the footer area before the </body> tag.

Once you add the scripts, it's a good idea to go to the Chrome Browser and download the Tag Assistant byGoogle add-on to check your tags are working properly.
