Why does a low Keyword Search volume still have higher Avg CPC than..

Hi, wondering why a keyword with a low search volume still have a higher Avg. CPC than a keyword with higher search volume? I know I must be forgetting a concept to not know the answer to this question..

Hello; There could be some reasons: The obvious one: a niche service / product with a few players that fiercely compete among themselves.

Just talked to a friend who runs a Yoga site, and gave me a great example... where keyword "Grls in Yoga Tights" gets high search volume, but CPC is low because no Yoga ecomm site is going to advertise to pervs. Smiley Happy
