Where to place conversion tag in addition to success page of landing page?

Hello everyone,

We're running register/conversion campaigns with Adwords. (Display Network Only campaigns)

After clicking the ad, users see a register form on landing page then if they fill out the form and click "register" button, they are redirected to success page.

To see the conversions, we placed conversion tag to success page of landing page. It works well without a problem.

In addition to landing page for advertising, we have organic register page on our game website.

Do you think we need to place conversion tag to success page of organic register page, too?

We think that users see our ads at somewhere, but search for our game on google then comes to our website and register.

Since organic register page and success page do not have conversion tag, we cannot count them.

So should we accept them as a converted users from ads?

Your replies will be really helpful for us.

Thanks Cat Embarassed

Here is the way to track them properly:

1) Adword conversion tracking code

This part is already done by you and working properly. Now we comes to organic conversion.

2) Add analytics tracking code to success page

This will help you to track organic and paid conversions both in Google analytics dashboard.

Note: Here you need to understand the difference between conversion tracking at Google analytics vs Google adwords. As analytics goal attribution works on last click model where as Adwords goal attribution works on first click model.

In your case, if person visited your website through adwords and after couple of days, visited your website from organic search and converted. Google adwords will considered this as conversion where as in Google analytics, it will considered as organic conversion.
