Where do I upload an image ad?

Hello Google AdWords Forum!

Question. Where do I upload an image ad?

I started a new Google AdWords account a couple of days ago. I have got text ads running.

I cannot find where it says I can upload and start an image display ad. I cannot find any information in my AdWords control panel about image display ads.

Can somebody tell me where to get started with image display ads?

Thanks.

Hi Pete,
Welcome to the community.

I'd start here; https://support.google.com/adwords/topic/3119116?hl=en&ref_topic=3119071
You'll find step by step guides to setting up the different types of campaigns and ads. I'd encourage you to learn as much as you can and read as many of those linked articles as you can before setting your display ads live as they're a completely different animal to regular search ads.

You might also want to have a read/watch of these -
http://www.google.ie/ads/displaynetwork/
and
http://www.google.ie/ads/displaynetwork/build-your-ads/display-ad-builder.html

Hope that helps.

Hi Pete,

I am not sure which campaign type have you created. You need to have Display Network enabled to create and target Image ads.

Display or image ads are not meant for the Search network campaign. Find more details on creating image ads here: https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/1722096?hl=en

Gentlemen;

Thank you for responding to my question.

I found how to make image ads the other day shortly after posting this question. All I had to do was click a selection from a drop down menu. It was a lot easier than I thought.

Thanks again.
