Hi, I am new in Adwords . I was told to create a text ad for my ecommerce store . I created one , but how do I link it to the specific keywords I want consumers to see /search for ? And the bid price for this text ad is it based on my keyword ?

You can add keywords at the Adgroup level, so go into your adgroup then click on the keywords tab, then the red box that says "+keywords". The bid price can be set at a keyword level.

You should follow the Adwords training course since you're new, which will go over everything you need to know and teach you how to get the most out of your campaigns.

It sounds like you have created a Google search campaign.  That is OK, but if your site is an eCommerce store (with product pages and "Buy" buttons), you should also look into perhaps creating a "Google Shopping" campaign.  It is a different type of campaign designed for eCommerce sites (online stores).
