What's the behaviour of broad modifier within exact: [+brand]?

Hi,

 

I see some of the clients I work for are using:

 

[+brand]

 

But I didn't know you could use broad modifier "within" exact. Does it even make sense? What are the differences or expected results versus [brand]?

Correct; This is an invalid format.
If you see impressions, I assume that the KW is assigned as exact match and the + is ignored. Regardless, the match type should be fixed.
