What network to create image ads on

Hi guys,

A quick question - is it possible to create image ads on the search network?

Our campaigns are all search network only and do not seen to provide an option to create an image ad when we click on the actual campaign.

However, navigating to the ads tab allows us to create an image ad - but I am not sure if this requires the use of the display network.

Any help appreciated, thanks!

Nope!  No image ads on the search network.  You can create shopping ads/PLAs, but that's a different animal.

You might have accessed the ads tab at account level that's why you have the option of image ad.

- No image ads on search yet. If you are an e-commerce product company, you should definitely try the shopping ads to display product images on Google search. It's a bit complex set up process, but once you get it up and running, it's worth the time.

- Google was testing an image ad extension on search, but this is not live for all accounts yet.  So hopefully in the near future, we will get this image extension on Google search. Details here http://searchengineland.com/google-adwords-images-sitelink-extensions-263908

- If you have a substantial audience/traffic to your site, it will definitely be worthwhile to test a Display Remarketing campaign to show ads (banners) to your non-converting audience. https://support.google.com/adwords/topic/3122874?hl=en&ref_topic=3121935

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
