Dear Adwords Community!

Could somebody explain me what is the difference between those two? I mean, let's take an example here. If we type "hosting" as our primary seed keyword in GKT and select exact match I will get following results:  "Global Monthly Searches" 246,000 and "Google Search Network" 40,500.

I thought Google Search Network would have higher number of searches since it includes Google Search + all search partners right?

Here you are:

Global Monthly Searches: The approximate 12-month average of the number of searches on Google for each keyword in all locations, languages, devices, and keyword match types. This statistic includes traffic in all countries and languages. If we don't have enough data for a particular keyword, you'll see this noted with a dash (-).

Google Search Network: The number of searches for the keyword on the Google Search Network per month, based on an approximate 12-month average. This statistic is specific to your targeted country and language, and it's available only for exact match type.
