Hi Preeti,

Maximum CPC : Maximum Cost per click you are willing to pay Google for single click! You can change individual keyword Max CPC in your campaign.

Default Bid (Max CPC) Is what you set for each adgroup. Defualt bid of adgroup will apply to all keywords within your adgroup. But you can anytime change (raise or reduce) individual keyword bid in your adgroup.

Hope that helps! Let us know if you have questions.

Hello Preeti M,

Just like Neha says.

I recommend to set default bid in your ad group settings to the some reasonable value even though you have CPC bids on Keyword level. I usually set default bid to the lowest/average CPC value from my keywords. This way, when I forget to set bid on new keyword or if I just add new keyword it will automatically get max.CPC value from default bid set on ad group and not some default value - 0,01.
