Very Few Impressions and Clicks

Hey guys (and gals). I setup an AdWords account just shy of two weeks ago, and my ads don't seem to be showing that often.

Our budget is roughly $16 a day for now, and many keywords have bids set between $1.40 and $3 (a few up to $7), but aside from one day a week ago, we've never gotten more than 2 clicks a day and the past two days have 0 clicks. There are more than 400 eligible keywords with bids above the estimated first page bid in the account.

I've gone in and increased bids for many keywords each day, while leaving the ads and keywords the same so they don't need to be re-approved. Is there something I need to do or just sit back and wait for clicks to eventually start coming in?

There might be low search volume for keywords which you have choosed. Even 1000 but low search volume keywords can generate few clicks a day.

Start with exploring Impression Share metrics:

https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2497703?hl=en

You would be able to see how much additional traffic you can get from your current keywords.

If you are getting almost everything consider adding additional sources of traffic such as:

1) Remarketing;

2) New search campaigns, for example, DSA (if there is enough content on your website);

3) Shopping campaigns if you have eCommerce project;
