Hi everyone,

Can the final URL of the ad and URL of one of the sitelink be same?

Is that allowed?

Hi Loukik,

The final URL of the ad and the sitelink has to be different.

You can not use the same URL for your ad and siltelink extension.

Find detailed information under 'URL Requirements' - https://support.google.com/adwordspolicy/answer/1054210?hl=en

Hi Loukik,

While that is the official rule, I have seen many examples where the same link is in the ad and the sitelink, and I have never seen the rule enforced.

Sitelinks tend to not get many clicks, and I use them primarily to add more text to the ad. If you only have 3 other pages on your site, it could be advantageous to use all 4 in sitelinks.

Hello @Loukik H,

Sitelinks within the same campaign or ad group that direct to the same landing pages won't be able to show with your ads. To get such a sitelink to show, update its destination or final URL so that it directs to a unique page.
