Undecided on what budget to choose.

Hello

We are a home remodeling company and this will be our first time to advertise our brand here.  I'd like ot try the CPC budget to start off.  We need leads calling our office and setting up appointments for estimates.  Will this CPC budget ad work for us being first timers?

Hi Maria,

Actually it's unfair to suggest one amount to use AdWords budget. I think it depends on your pocket. Since you have no previous experience with AdWords you not sure what gonna happen, I would recommend to start with low budget and depending on results you can always raise budget. This is my opinion.

I would suggest you to read this thread:

And Budget & Bid (https://support.google.com/adwords/topic/3119127?hl=en&ref_topic=3119122 ) help center by Google.

Thanks

Hello Maria,

Just a small addition to above mentioned informative responses, AdWords has given some of the really flexible bidding options where an advertiser can choose from different options.

For example: Automatic Bidding, Manual bidding etc... If you really have time to monitor bids on frequent basis, then you can go for manual CPC bidding option, whereas on the contrary, AdWords also give the Automatic CPC bidding option, where you don't have to really make any changes on daily basis and the AdWords system take care of that.

I would really encourage you to go through this excellent user article by Jon before you kick start your journey with AdWords: https://www.en.adwords-community.com/t5/User-Articles/Where-to-Start-I-Before-you-begin-with-AdWords...

Also read this help center article to determine the best bidding strategy for your business: https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2472725?hl=en

My 2 cents!

Pankaj

Hi

I think you are a bit confused between bid type and budget.

Budget: Is amount you are ready to spend everyday on your ads.

CPC bid; Is maximum amount you are willing to pay for every click.

Deciding Budget: I would suggest you can start with recommended budget by Google or depending what part of your marketing budget you want to spend on AdWords

Determining CPC bid can usually be quite tricky but you can decide that based on what kind of revenue and / or profit you are potentially going to make on the calls you receive and estimated conversion rate of calls v/s clicks on your ad.

Hope this make sense.
