Two different ad extensions in the same campaign?

I'm working in Ad words editor. Under the 'Extentions' tab there are two tabs, one with 'Location', and another with 'sitelinks'.

Now I want to add a location extention in this campaign. But wonder if it is possible to test it against a 'sitelinks' extention in the same campaign?

Sorry if this is a stupid question. Answers are always appreciated.

Thanks

Chris

Hello again;
Google does not reveal this information. (i.e how Adwords prioritizes extensions)
Sitelinks are always shown in the top 3 postions, above the search results.
Sitelinks could be shown with location extensions (as well as with other extension - e.g. call extensions). Usually this will happen when you are searching for a specific business, in a specific location. Here is an example:

Yes;

You can set both extensions. They will not always be shown;

  • A location extension will be shown to users near your location, or searching about your location;
  • Sitelinks require some quality threshold to be shown;

Thanks for the reply MosheTLV.

How does Google determine which extension to show if both are present, does a location extension override a sitelink if the user is in the target area?

Hi Chris,

Welcome to the community. Yes, you can both these extensions, as they both serve different purpose. Yes, there are certain criteria to show these extensions along with your ad as mentioned by Moshe.

I hope this helps.
