Two advertisers with same ad rank

Consider this scenario:

Advertiser     Max CPC Bid    x   Quality Score   =   Ad Rank       Ad Position

Bob                    $2.00                         3                        6                   ?

Joe                     $3.00                         2                        6                   ?

What happens to their ad positions then?

But AdWords does not work on assumption.
First you need to understand the concept of Ad Rank. Ad Rank is calculated based on max CPC, Quality Score and Ad Extensions format. And QS is calculated every time when a your ads appear on the search results. QS depends on many factors e.g relevancy, CTR, history of accounts, device location etc.
Thus you can not say that everything would be same for two advertisers.
I know this is very diplomatic answers but its true. Also, recommend you to go through with this link. https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/1752122?hl=en

Hi Jeremy,

Adwords Always give wight Quality score over high bids so high quality scores win higher position at a lower price . Ad rank is machine calculated matrix which happened with each searches, the expected impact of extensions and other ad formats.

Hi @Jeremy

the actual CPC is you competitors AdRank divided by your QS.

So, Bob has to pay 6 / 3 = 2 U$ + 0.01U$ = 2.01U$ to overbid Joe.

Joe has to pay 6 / 2 = 3U$ + 0.01U$ = 3.01U$ to overbid Bob.

Taking in consideration that one of Google tasks is to earn money, I would bet on Joe Smiley Happy
