Tool that shows how many times keywords were searched for overtime

There used to be a free-to-use tool on Google that would show me how many times certain keywords were searched for that month.

Does this tool still exist??  If so, where can I find it?

For example, I specifically remember entering "Michael Jackson" into said tool just to see how many people had searched his name over time.  It was a few years ago.

I'm not trying to make keywords for ads or anything.  I'm not even trying to make ads-- I'm just wondering where this tool went!

Hi Megan,

The tools you are referring is Google external Keywords planner. Now, this tool has been replaced by KeyWord Planner. https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/3114286?hl=en

In order to access this tool, you need to make Google AdWords account.

Hi Megan,

Rakesh is absolutely right here.

If you wish to access this tool, you just create a new AdWords account using any gmail id, it doesn't have to be an official account id. I would sometimes use my personal gmail id to access the tool and draw inferences from it.

The tool that you are referring to has been phased out and you will not be able to access it anymore. So try using the new tool and let us know if you have any questions on it and we will try our best to help you out.

Hope this Helps!

Cheers!
