I've just done a search for 'delete account'. Try it.

No, I'm giving an example. If someone wanted to delete their Account, how would they seek help here?

I mean that AdWords Help has always been

woe·ful/ˈwōfəl/

Adjective:
  1. Characterized by, expressive of, or causing sorrow or misery.
  2. Very bad; deplorable: "woeful ignorance".

Sethmould, here's what I did:

  1. went to the AdWords help page: http://support.google.com/adwords/?hl=en
  2. searched for delete account: http://support.google.com/adwords/bin/search.py?hl=en&query=delete+account&ctx=en:searchbox
  3. first link returned is "How do I cancel my account" -> http://support.google.com/adwords/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=162388

Pretty straightforward and not at all woeful, in my own fresh experience. What didn't work for you?

OK then I defer to Jon's statement - the Forum is new, there is not a lot of content on here.  Deleting an account has not been discussed therefore there is not information indexed for that in this forum.

Want to help me create something to index?  Let's do that.  If you want to delete the account please let me know and I will see what I can do help with that and and reply here and we will have created some new content for the search feature.

Yep, OK, I'll buy that.  It does seem at the moment that the search function only searches the forum, not the help content, and that's something I'll raise with the powers that be...

And yes, I guess I'll allow that there should be criticism, but I can also say that - having been party to (some) of the machinations behind this move that it was never going to be seamless and certainly it was never going to be perfect hours/days after launch.

In fairness, you've raised a good question, and I will escalate it.

Hi sethmould, a little more information might help us provide a better response.  What exactly is "woeful"?  Are you trying to delete an Adwords account?

Sorry, sethmould, I'm really not sure what point you're trying to make.

Jon, the point I'm trying to make is:

Go to www.en.adwords-community.com.

Search for 'delete account'

So... what you're saying is that when you search a brand new forum, that's been live for 36 hours, you don't find any posts relevant to your search query?

sethmould - Thanks for pointing that out.  Let me see if there is a way to delete membership accounts.  I am sure there is - it is just so new around here I have not seen it yet Smiley Happy
