“A Google account can only have access to one AdWords account. The Google account already has access to an AdWords account.”
If you are trying to accept an invite to an AdWords account or create a new account and get this error, here’s why it happens and what you can do about it:
Why this error?
An email address can only be associated with one AdWords account. So if email@example.com already has an AdWords account, you won’t be able to use this email address to create a new account, or accept the invite to someone else’s account.
Even if the AdWords account associated with firstname.lastname@example.org is canceled, it is still associated with the account, and you won’t be able to use that email address for another account.
What workarounds are there?
-Use another email address: The easiest solution here would be to get a different email address and use that to create the account. But first, please check whether this other email address doesn’t have
an account already.
-Want to use email@example.com for another AdWords account? You can log into the original account with firstname.lastname@example.org and invite another email address there (may be email@example.com). Make firstname.lastname@example.org an Admin on the original account and terminate access of email@example.com.
That way firstname.lastname@example.org will be “free” and you can use that to create a new account or accept the invite to another account.
I hope this helps, and let us know via a reply comment if you have any more questions.
