In the statistic I can see the languages SV and SV-SE. Both refer to swedish, but what is the difference, and why is there two variants, it causes problems in the data analysis if there isn't and statistical significance for them to be separated.

Until David provides a more thorough response this is what I have found, it appears that SV-SE designates the dialect spoken by people in Sweden  :

svSwedish
sv-FISwedish (Finland)
sv-SESwedish (Sweden)

Hi

This question not only concerns swedish, because if you look at your Analytics-report you´ll see different rows for english as well:

en
en-gb
en-us

Here is an extensive answer to why it shows up like that in Analytics:

To follow with David, I checked the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) code for languages and got ;

sv Swedish
sv-FI Swedish (Finland)
sv-SE Swedish (Sweden)

"Go figure"  the difference in local variants between "Swedish" and Swedish (Sweden)...Smiley Surprised
