Stopping ads from running on holidays

I manage AdWords for a b2b company, and running ads during U.S. holidays would be a complete waste of money for us. How do I stop our ads from running on specific dates such as Thanksgiving and Christmas?

Hi @Jennifer F,

You are smart for wanting to control your ads.

AdWords ad scheduling is a great feature that gives you control like you want.

  1. Sign in to your AdWords account.
  2. Click the Campaigns tab at the top.
  3. Under All campaigns, click the name of the campaign to be scheduled.
  4. Click the Settings tab, then click the + AD SCHEDULE button. (Remember, ad scheduling is available only for campaigns with “All features” enabled.
  5. Click + Create custom schedule.
  6. Make your selections for specific days and times. Keep in mind, the ad schedules you set are based your account’s time zone. Therefore, you should adjust your ad schedule to account for any difference in your target customers' time zone. Learn more
  7. Click Save. You'll see your changes reflected in the Ad schedule statistics table.

Please let us know if you need further help with this.

Kind Regards,

James
