Seeing 0 impressions on content network campaign. Is this correct?

I have a campaign on content network only, but the ad groups have a mix of text and image ads.

I'm seeing zero impressions on keyword stats... is this normal?

Hi taewoo,

Keywords are important in a DN campaign to focus your impressions on pages that relate to your offer. This should bring you better qualified prospects and should also improve your campaign CTR, leading to lower CPC.

Many advertisers are using interest-based instead of keywords. That didn't work out so well for me, but it works for others. The objective is not necessarily more impressions. Lots of impressions with no clicks does not necessariluy mean a successful campaign. It all depends on your goals.

Best of Luck!

Hello Taewoo,

If your are running your ads only on display network which was previously know as content network, you can't have any impression and clicks for keywords.

ah right.

but that begs the question.. do keywords even matter in ad groups if I'm doing text ads? meaning.. why even bother having multiple keywords. I should just have one "broad" keyword so I can have the maximum number of impressions.

Another alternative is to specify managed placements in which case you may or may not want to additionally list keywords too.
