Hi Chris,

Thank you for posting on our Community forum. Regarding your AdWords question to stop showing Amazon on Ebay from the Search Network, you cannot exclude specific Search Partners. Your options are to either run on all the Search Partners or none. I do have one suggestion which may prevent users from clicking on your ads on Amazon or Ebay sites. Please follow the steps listed below in your Campaign:

1. Go to the Keywords tab.

2. Go to the Negative keywords section at the bottom of the browser window.

3. Choose the Campaign / Ad Group you want to edit.

4. Add the keywords "Amazon" and "Ebay" in the Negative keywords field.

5. When finished, click on the Save button.

If anyone else has another method, please feel free to share it with the Community. Thanks.

Good morning.

John Paul is correct and his advice will allow your campaign to stop serving searches that include those two company names.

However, this process will not stop your ads from being triggered on those websites. Search Partners is an all-or-nothing proposition. If you check the box to include Search Partner websites in your ad serving, you have to take all of them--you can't pick and choose.  (For the most part, none of the "search partner" website are stand-alone search engines.)

John,

Thanks for the response and it was certainly worth a try.  I drilled down to the ad group level and put both Amazon as well as "Amazon" in the negative keyword list. Sadly the ads are still showing all over Amazon.  Any other ideas?   I know there has to be a way...

Theresa,

Thank you for your reply as well.  It would seem like that is true but I am convinced there is a way to block Amazon. Why you ask, I see some of the larger competitors in my industry showing up on all the partnered sites but not on Amazon. (there ad spend is between 18k-25k a month)   Is this where Google internally (adwords rep) adjusts their account to block Amazon?

Chris,

Unfortunately the negative keywords is the only partial solution I know of for your specific question. As I mentioned in the earlier post, you can certainly ask other Community members if they have a better suggestion.
