Remarketing when using a 3rd party shopping cart

Hi,

With the new remarketing code, should we copy the remarketing code into every step of our shopping cart, even if the shopping cart belongs to a 3rd party, therefore is hosted on different domain?

Ads will be pointing to our brand domain (not the shopping cart).

GA is already set up on both domains.

Thank you for any help on this.

Hi Teresa,

If your intention is to use AdWords for creating and managing your remarketing lists and you can easily add the code, then yes, I would definitely add the code to all stages of the shopping cart. Then, through the user of custom combination lists, you can segment out and target groups of customers who reached different stages of the cart but didn't actually purchase.

This is a great idea!

Hi Tommy,
Thank you for your response. That's the idea, having a specific set of ads to meet each stage.
Was only struggling around with the idea of having the same remarketing code in two separate domains. Very glad we can implement it.
