Hi Harsh,

As far as I understand, I don't think you can promote a facebook group through AdWords. You need to own a Facebook official Page, and that page needs to be linked to your website i.e. your website should have links to your official page on FB.

If I were you, I would think about the feasibility of using a FB page as a Landing page for an Adwords campaign. If your marketng goal is to promote your page then its fine otherwise I would advise you avoid using FB as a landing page.

Here are some great conversations on the community on the topic:

Hope this helps!

Hi, I think facebook is trademark word, you can't use without any permission. You have to take permission from facebook.

Fill form and ask for approval.

So,how should a person call it? Mark Zuckerbergs websites, or worlds best social networking website? Any way round, its remains facebook.

Hi @Harsh H,

There is no need to call anybody. You just have to fill the trademark policy form which is given below.

Trademark Policy Form

Read Complete Policy:- https://support.google.com/adwordspolicy/answer/6118?hl=en

Hi Harsh,

As mentioned earlier, I don't think your ad was rejected because you were using Facebook as a term in your Display or Final URL. You can't promote a group on FB via AdWords, you are however allowed to promote your authorised FB Pages via AdWords. But, even for this, your website and FB page should be linked by means of a link on your website to the FB page.

One last thing, even if by any chance you do get to promote a FB group via AdWords, I wanted to check with you, if your Display URL also said "Facebook.com"? As you know, the display URL & Final URL should contain the same domain. If your domains differed in these two elements, that may be the reason why your ad was rejected.

Hope this Helps!
