ROAS Help

Hello.

I created a ROAS campaign 2 weeks ago.

The problem is that every day, the system is showing MORE days needs for  "3 days left for learning"

I read that this happens when is on learning mode and if I make changes on the campaigns like adding Keywords, Ads, New ads, etc.

BUT, I AM NOT DOING ANY CHANGES ON THE CAMPAIGN. In fact, that campaign WASNOT changed since I set the bid by ROAS.

The same is happening with other campaigns. Every time is close to FINISH the Learning Mode, the system is saying that I need MORE days and also this "4 days since the last significant change"

I repeat, I am not changing NOTHING on the campaigns. That previeus example say that 4 days ago, I made changes and is not true.

So, what can cause this?

Thanks in advance.

Mat

Hi Mat,

If the strategy says it's "learning" and not "active" or "limited," then the bids are not being optimized for ROAS yet. You can see here for more info on the entire process: https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/6263057?hl=en

Hi Mat,

Thanks for posting to the Community. How many conversions does the campaign have in the last 30 days? If there is not a large amount of conversion data for the strategy to pull from, it will have a hard time optimizing for the return.

Cassie.

Thanks for you reply. They have around 35 to 40 Conversions on LAST 7 DAYS. So, thats is not the problem.

In last 30 days, around 120 to 150 Conversions.

All campaigns that I active the ROAS have at least 50 conversion on last 30 days. Ones who dont have much conversion, I didnt active the ROAS.

Thanks

Mat

Hi Mat,

It's hard to know exactly what's going on without seeing your account, and we don't have access to your account in this forum. Sounds like you definitely have enough conversions though.

Keep in mind that the "learning" process can be extended until the system learns how to optimize your bids. So if after a few days, the system still has not learned how to optimize your bids, it can take longer even if you are not making changes to the campaign or strategy. Unfortunately there's no guaranteed amount of time the strategy will take to become active, or a way to speed the process up.

If you are concerned about how long it's taking and want to have a specialist look in your account and make sure everything is set up correctly, you can get in touch with that team here.

Thanks Cassie. May be it need more time to learn. Do you know if during learning time it ALSO optimising? or only after the learning period? Thanks again.
