Hi Everyone,

I have a question today regarding display ads.

Can i restrict users to click my display ads. I want to restrict the people who has clicked my ads once and also the people who has converted to users after registration.

Hi Saurav,

You can fulfil both these requests by excluding the appropriate audiences. To prevent users who have already clicked your ad once to see any future ads you will need to navigate to the Audience tab within your campaign, scroll down to Campaign audience exclusions and then include all visitors.

If you exclude this audience then you are going to prevent people from seeing your ads whether they've converted or not anyway. But if you do want to exclude converting users then you will need to create an audience based on the conversion landing page and then just exclude this particular audience using the methods above.

I'm not sure what your marketing goals but I would definitely be careful restricting your potential customers like this, a recent study showed that many users will navigate away from a site before coming back to make the purchase / conversion.

Hi,

You will need to setup adwords remarketing, by adding some snippet of code to your website, then after collecting enough data about audience , You can exclude those specific audiences.

Hi,

There is no way to restrict audience from clicking your ads based on their past behavior (clicked your ads before or registered).

You can restrict your remarketing ads on Display Network based on past user behavior (for example - registered users) by creating separate lists and using custom combinations.

https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2549111?hl=en

You can also restrict your ads from showing on specific placements (where your ads are getting just clicks but no conversion (registration) using the placement exclusion tool.

And if you are finding certain IP addresses are responsible for low quality clicks then you can exclude those IPs.

Hope this helps,
