Pausing keywords - bulk actions

Hi,

I currently have 2 Ad groups, lets call them big and small.

The small ad group has the keywords contained by the big ad group.

I want to enable the keywords in the small ad group while I pause them in the big ad group.

Currently I am searching each keyword individually and pausing them.

Is there any bulk action for this? What is a smarter way of doing this?

Will using 'negative keywords' option be effectively the same as pausing the keywords?

Hi,

Well I think, the better way could be this one (in My opinion):

Sort keywords alphabetically by clicking on "Keyword" column for both adgroups small and big (open it on two different tabs). then select all duplicate keywords on Big Adgroups and pause them clicking on "Edit" tab and pause. Pausing keywords will work for you but if you still want to add them as negative keywords use exact negative match.

I hope this helps you.

Thanks!

Hi Samarth,

You might find that some of these tasks are simplified using AdWords Editor or exporting lists to Excel and working on them there.

Using Labels will help you find the keywords easily.

A script can be written to handle this task. After that you just have to hit run to get the job done.

Thank you for the solution guys.

I took the longer route and paused them 1 by 1.
