Numbers different for Clicks and Landing Page Visits

Hi,

I'm running a PPC campaign for a hotel.  We are reviewing first months numbers and two of our numbers don't seem to connect.  First, we have had roughly 28,000 clicks that we paid for.  Every PPC ad is being sent to the same landing page - but the landing page only has roughly 17,000 visits in that same time period.  So if we'd paid for and have had 28,000 PPC clicks, that are all going to the same landing page - then why are there less visits to that page?

Thanks!

Hi Hooman H,

Visits and clicks are not the same metric and will never quite match up. The stats say your ad was clicked 28,000 time by 17,000 different individuals. That indicates the average visitor clicks on your ad 1.6 times. That's not all that unusual, particularly in a market for hotels where price comparison shopping is somewhat normal.

Best of Luck!
