Negative kw question

Will negative keyword:  -lap exclude broad/exact/phrase keyword: laptop support ?

If you exclude lap than Google will not show any queries that contain this string lap

 

It might however trigger also for synonyms like laps but most certainly not for laptop, since lap is neither a synonym nor a well-known abbreviation.

Hey,

 

The negative keyword -lap will not affect any 'laptop' related terms. However, it could exclude keywords like 'lap top'.

Although this article is very good I would be very cautios reading 3rd-party articles.

 

This on is 2 years old and from a non-google site ...

 

Nevertheless, it complies with the current adwords help, which states pretty much the same
