Hey I have a quick question I can't seem to figure out.

If I have a negative keyword: -baseball.

And I have a phrase match keyword" "baseball cards".

Will my keyword "baseball cards" still show for the phrase match keyword "baseball cards"?

Thanks

Stefan

Hi @stefan g

As others said, it won't.

Here is a table to show you how different match types negatives affect the search terms found or blocked:

Negative broads are blocking most search terms, and you have to be careful with them. Like @Anand Kumar said, use the exact match negative -[baseball].

Hi Stefan,

If you use baseball in Broad Match Type then you ads will not appear related to baseball cards or other baseball query.

If you don't want to show your ads on Baseball keywords then i will recommend to use Baseball as a negative keyword in Exact Match Type -[baseball].

Thanks,
Anand Kumar
