My ads say they are approved but I still have 0 impressions. Any clue why? I have fixed everything it asked me to and it says the ad is approved, but there are no impressions or anything else happening. Just wondering what I might need to fix.

In Kenny,

In addition to the great suggestions by @James_Clemens, Please cross check if your account is under review.

The system periodically reviews the accounts for security purposes and to verify billing information, which takes about 2-3 business days.

You can use the ad preview and diagnosis tool to check the real time status of your ads for a specific location and corresponding Google domain.

This tool will let you know the reason why your ads are not triggering.

Hi @Kenny J,

If the ads are new or recently approved, just give it more time and step away for 4-5 hours. If they have been approved for more than 24 hours with no action, you should explore further.

And what about your account structure? Do you have at least three ads for each ad group, and each ad group with tightly defined keywords, with 15 keywords per ad group? You should.

A low ad rank would prevent them from being shown enough to gain traction, as would the wrong targeting set up. Start by going to your ads tab and looking at each ad. In the status column there is a little quote cloud you can hover over and get more info.

If things look fine with the ads, let's look at targeting.

What type of targeting are you using? Just Keywords... or more?

And are you marketing within a niche category or is your product or service mainstream?

Please let us know so we can assist further.

Kind Regards,

James

In addition to the correct suggestions from James & Archit, I would add this one after you check the higher-likelihood things they identified:

How large is the geo-targeting region you have selected for the campaign?  Often AdWords campaigns are targeted locally, and in some local markets, for some keywords, there just isn't much traffic. That is also influenced by the match types used, in search campaigns.

But it is more likely to be one of the bigger reasons per above.
