MOVING google adwords: I get an error trying

Hi !

While trying to move My AdWords account from one google account to another, I started inviting a new user as administrator.

The previous owner of the adwords account will not have access to that email in 1 month, so I need to resolve this.

But when I try to accept the invite with the new account (that have no adwords account on it) I see this error:

L'account Google *** ha già accesso all'account AdWords (ID cliente: ).

That means "the account google *** already have access to the AdWords account (ID client: )

ID Client is empty.

Can some google guy give me assistance ?

Hi AlviseNicoletti,

Google has a strict policy that you can only run one Adwords account per Google account (email address), unless of course you are using an MCC account to manage multiple accounts but I'm guessing that is not relevant here.  As long as the email address you are 'inviting' is linked to another Adwords account, you will not be able to accomplish this.

My suggestion is to create a new email address that you can use to manage this account.  The new email will not have any previous Adwords accounts linked to it, you should have no trouble giving admin access to this new account.

Hope this helps!

I found an empty AdWords account on the target account ... so I deleted it now.

It still don't work, but I will try again in 1 week.

Hi AlviseNicoletti,
I'd recommend you to open an MCC account if you manage several accounts. You can read more about the MCC and its benefits in Scott's article on "Creating an MCC."
Good luck,

Thank you,

actually 1 account is enough, but I'll consider it in the future.

I'll just wait for the old empty account to vanish and transfer the old one into it.
