Landing Page for Keywords

Hi,

When I add keywords, I can set up the Final URL, will this final URL overwrite the landing page of the actual ads?

For example, for the keyword "iphone", I set the final URL as abc.com.

In the ad group, I only have one ad with final URL def.com

Which final URL will be used?

Thanks!

Hey Bohan, how are things?

You've set a URL on the Keyword level, this is the URL that will be used. The Final URL field from the ad will not overwrite the keyword URL Smiley Happy

Hope this helps.

In general terms, as @leandrofm points out, Google will move to the most granular option. This is the same for keyword match types, where it will defer to the most restrictive type if these is more than one option, geo bid adjustments, where the tightest location will be used, etc.

In this case, the most granular url will be the one attached to the keyword, rather than the one used in the ad - which is at the ad group level.

Keep this general principle in mind and it will help you understand many aspects of AdWords from settings to bids and lots of things in between
