Keywords aren't triggering ads

Hi,

I have set up a campaign for India Location after a proper keywords research and have used all the keywords. Now when I search for these keywords to find my ads some of the ads don't appear even if I have typed the exact keywords as a search query. Can someone tell why is this happening?

I recommend that you use the Ad preview tool. At least this tool will give you the better explanation, why your ads are not showing.

https://adwords.google.com/anon/AdPreview?lang=en&loc=1007765&device=30000

Some of the possible reasons (Please check your account one by one for below points):

1.) Maybe your budget is limited and Google decided to show your ads on some interval and not on every search query. It's also possible that your ads are showing on some device/keywords/search term/location only. Please check your account for the data on which you are getting the impression and click. Then use the same settings to check your ads with preview tool.

2.) Maybe your bid/QS is low and not triggering the Ads due to low Adrank during competition. Your ads are showing on certain days/time when competition is low.

Your bid is in your hand and you are in better position to decide the maximum bid amount for your Ads. It is also possible to be competitive and get the higher Adrank by increasing the quality score for your keywords.

Quality score depends on three factor Expected CTR, Ad Relevance and Landing Page Experience. While CTR is the most prominent factor but you need to work on all three factor to improve the Quality Score. For new campaign/account, Google considers expected CTR from historical data for similar targeted keywords/ads/landing page before your campaign/adgroup have enough CTR data.

Tips to Improve Landing Page Experience: https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2404197?co=ADWORDS.IsAWNCustomer%3Dfalse&hl=en

3.) You are using similar keywords type in the ad group and only some keyword is triggering the Ad and not all keywords. Please check every keyword with Ad preview tool.

4.) Your ads are triggering only on certain device type or on certain web browser only. Try to change to different browser/device type and also try with the different location within your targeted location.

5.) You are checking your ads out of your ad schedule time or checking your ads outside of your target location.

It could be possible that for some other queries your ads are showing (other than keywords). Check the search terms report to see for which queries your ads are showing, and also segment the campaign >> time>> hour of the day (to check the hour at which the ad was shown).

Hi,

I would recommend you to use the ad preview tool for the same, it will reveal the reason if ads are not triggering.

If you are searching live again and again from the same IP, system considers it intentional to downgrade the performance of advertisers and will stop showing you ads.

And the same may be the reason in your case.

As long as your ads appearing in result page should be good. Google will show your ads based on your Ad rotation settings. Refer screenshot: https://www.screencast.com/t/n64HTiUU6Ge
