Keyword Clicks vs Ad Clicks?

Hi,

I am confused with these. What is the difference between keyword clicks and ad clicks?

When I see on the headline (from AdWords website), let's say it shows 50 clicks on both keywords and ads, but when I go through the actual counting (manually counting one by one) in Ads column, I find that the clicks are not the same as displayed on the header. But, the clicks are the same when I count in the keywords row.

Anyone can help?

Thanks

Good morning.

There is no "difference."  Clicks on the ads tab show which ad was shown and got the specific click. Clicks on the keywords tab show which keyword was matched to the user's search query.

If you have edited ads during the time period you're viewing the data, it may be that some of the ad clicks were on ads that are now paused or deleted. Make certain that your ad 'view' option shows All Ads and not just All Enabled.
