Issue with keyword not showing

Hi,

I've got a keyword on broad match modified with a quality score of 9. I'm getting a message saying that ads aren't showing for this keyword because 'another creative in the ad group was selected over this one'. Does anyone know why this might be and how to fix it?

Hi James,

Hard to say with out seeing what's going on exactly but my guess is you have some similar keywords which are currently showing in the search engines. I wouldn't worry as ads and keywords often rotate in the ad section. Check back tomorrow and there will probably be different keywords being displayed.

If your quality score is 9 then you're certainly not doing anything wrong. Just have some patience and your ads will rotate for specific keywords.

Hope this helps

Hi James,

The warning comes up if various keywords in different ad groups simultaneously match the same search term keyed in by the user. In such a scenario, the algorithms need to make a difficult and complex decision considering a good number of factors. It's enough to mention that the associated ad copies and LPs can be different, with different history. Of course, the KW with the highest ad rank will be the winner.

To avoid the above and to clean up your household , you may want to eliminate those overlapping between KWs, list more restrictive matching options and/or make use of negative KWs.

Best,
Lakatos
