Hi

I have uploaded some of my products through google merchant center. Now 99% of the products have searchable status. I have not linked the adwords account yet and my destination country is India.

Below are my doubts

1. Is adwords account mandatory to show product in search results.

2. What happens when i submit a product which is already displayed in search result through some other market place (like amazon, ebay or flipkart)

Regards

Gopi A

Hi Gopi,

Firstly, Welcome to the AdWords Community!

1.) Yes. To target Google's Search Network with Product List Ads you MUST create a Google Shopping Campaign in Google AdWords.

2.) Google finally began consolidating all the 'spammy' duplications of products into one product listing quite some time ago - You will notice that, thanks to the addition and requirements of Unique Product Identifiers such as "GTIN - EAN/JAN/UPC", "MPN" & "Brand", Google can now identify copies of the same product from various stores - You've probably seen in shopping results that a Product Listing Ad often says "from 10+ shops" and lists all the suppliers of that item, each shops price, delivery info etc and this is where your shops details will also be shown.

I hope that's of some help to you - If you have any questions please don't hesitate to post back and ask!

All the best,

Spike
