Interpreting Local Search Trends - Bar Graph

In the past, the "Local Search Trends" bars would reveal their respective  month when you hovered over each one. Why was that removed?

I can only assume that it still shows only the last 12 months. Since today is July 11, 2013, the last bar would be June 2013 and the first bar July 2012.... Is that correct? I am only asking because my client sells navigational buoys which is greatly impacted by the seasons and weather.

I want to validate search activity for web search traffic activity and for strategic PPC budget planning.
