In Google Shopping campaigns "keywords" & "keyword lists"

I'm aware of the fact that normal "keywords" do not apply in Google Shopping campaigns. However, negative keywords do. But what is the difference between the "keywords" and "keyword lists" options?

Having a hard time determining the difference & can't find anything in the forums or Google Partner pages.

Please help!

Thanks!

Hi Taylor,

If you're talking about the "Keywords | Keyword Lists" you see next to the Campaign level negatives section, Keyword Lists are negative keywords lists you can set up in your shared library and then apply across multiple campaigns. That way, if you have a negative keyword that you would want to exclude from all campaigns or a group of campaigns you can add it once to your keyword list instead of going into each campaign individually and excluding it.

You can create a Keyword List by going to Shared Library > Campaign negative keywords.

Hope that helps!
