How to run ONLY Managed Placement campaign (2013 campaign setup)

Visitor ✭ ✭ ✭

Hi All,

I want to ask how I can run only "Managed Placement" campaign within Google new interface (Google Enhanced Campaigns). I don't think so there is any option available to run on selected websites (as we had before the option to run only some specific websites).

Appreciate if you can help me in this matter.

Or any suggestion how to turn off "Automatic Placements" if I want to run only "Managed Placement" campaign?

Many thanks

Kash

Hello Kash,

Try this:

Inside your Google Display Network campaign, go to particular ad group where you want to include placements as managed placements, and after selecting them, select the option of Target and Bid out of the 2 options mentioned something like this:-

This should do the trick as Adwords will now depending upon your selections i.e. placements will try to restrict the targeting to managed placements only.

Thank you Pankaj and Adrian.

Your prompt response is much appreciated. I am already running campaign on Automatic Placements. Now my client is willing to go for Managed Placements as well with Auto Placements. I am thinking to create new campaign/s under same account and will implement the method as per Pankaj's suggestion.

Would like to test/run in other campaign/adgroups and don't want to disturb current campaigns/ad groups.

Appreciate your feedback on my thought.

Regards

Kash

Hi Kash,

Yes, that would be fine by launching a different campaign for managed placements only if you want.

I would also like to add here that you can have custom ad group level settings for your Display campaign so in any ad group if you want to add managed placements you can do that and at the sametime if you want to add keywords or other features in other ad groups, you can do that as well.

My thoughts!
