I am a beginner in Adwords. I want to learn how could I sense/assess/predict ROI of an upcoming Adwords Campaign on the basis of past campaigns.

Google Analytics is set up but I am confused what to check in Analytics regards Adwords performance and ROI assessment.

Hi Jack,

To predict Adwords ROI from Google Analytics you need to perform conversion tracking. It depends upon your website business that for what kind of website you are running your adwords campaign and what you want to track.

Example1: If you are running campaign for product site, then you have to set Ecommerce tracking in your website Analytics account to check the quantity of product you sell and what revenue you generate on investing a certain amount on campaign. For more detail on Ecommerce check this link

Example2: In case you are running a campaign where you are targeting people interested in services provided by your website and a register or contact-us form is required to fill. In this case you need to set a goal in your website Analytics account for pages like (thank you or successfully registered) which get hit only if a user register on your website through form or contact you through contact-us form.
