How to modify dest. URLs of existing GDN campaign image ads?

Im trying to bulk change destination URL (each image has has separate URL) so I tried downloading the CSV file in adwords editor and changing it, then uploading that.

It basically created copies of ads w/o the image.

How do I remedy this? (either by replace URLs of existing ad.. or create new ad with right image, but with diff URL)

PS: I am using the latest editor 11.1.2.. i read somewhere you can download the images too but I am not seeing it on the menu. There is no option to download anything but .csv files

For an image ad to be imported correctly, it has to come complete with the actual image. Otherwise, Editor can't determine which ad a given CSV row refers to.

1. To get images, you need to export a ZIP file. In the "Export account to file" dialog, in "Save as type" drop-down choose "CSV files with images in ZIP archives (*.zip)".

2. Unpack the archive somewhere. It contains data.csv file and images subdirectory with all the image files.

3. Edit the CSV file to taste. Make sure to preserve references to images (you'll see things like "images/123.jpg" in Image column).

4. Import the CSV file back via Account > Import > From file. You don't need to re-package back into ZIP file (though you can if you want to) - Editor will find images as long as they are still next to the CSV file.

Also, under Settings > Import, choose a suitable option for "When importing ads with different URLs" setting. Since you want to change URLs in place, you probably want "Change existing URLs to new URLs (default)".

Thank you Egor. That drop down in adwords editor export menu is not that obvious...
