Hi, How can I launch a campaign with a predetermined limit in time or in total campaign expenses ? If Google does not provide answers to this, please just say so , I'll put my ad somewhere safer ?

Hi there,

End Date: You can certainly set an end date for the campaign, to ensure ads aren't served beyond that date. You'll have to use the 'All Features' campaign type to leverage this feature. More info here.

Budget Limit: Restricting your campaign budget is certainly possible since AdWords allows full control of your advertising spend. You'll have to remember that budget is on a daily basis and is unique to every campaign. Assuming you'd like to spend 100$ on one campaign across 20 days, you'll have to convert this into a daily budget which is $5/day. You can set an end date to ensure the campaign doesn't run beyond that, or manually pause the campaign after 20 days. Also keep in mind - there's a possibility of budget over delivery sometimes, so exceeding the daily budget (by 20% max) on some days is fine since the monthly budget would still be in the limit. More about budget over delivery here.

Thanks for answering. But after 1h of trying, I have not found any 'settings' tab nor have I been able to choose a campaign type or subtype. Could it be due to my location (France) ?

And I'm not able to start a new campaign. Whenever I login with my email address, I get to the page of the campaign I previously started filling in, and where there is NO possibility to change campaign type. Looks very amateur like ?

the initial campaign's settings can be accessed and new campaigns
can be created after the initial account set-up steps are fully complete --

if the account has been fully created and the entire
sign-up flow has been completed, including billing details
then, the campaign's initial settings may be changed --
https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2404245

when the sign-up flow requests a campaign then,
simply create and immediately pause the campaign.

important: be absolutely certain that the campaigns are

paused, if the initial settings were not what was wanted;
otherwise, the advertising clicks will be continually charged --
no matter how well or poorly designed the campaigns may be.

if the account has been fully created and the entire sign-up
flow has been completed, including billing, but the issue still
exists then, a support specialist may be contacted directly:

I don't understand, this should be very simple. Maybe Google needs to hire some SW guys, so people don't need to first agree with incomplete conditions, then immediately pause the thing and see what happens ? Again, this is amateur style, not the way I wish to work. Thanks for your reply anyway.
