Hello,

Did you try using Display Planner. That would give you an idea of how costs could affect the total of your budget by showing the Historical costs and other important factors? More details around this tool can be found here:- https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/3056432?hl=en

Also note that most of the times your Display Campaigns cost would be lower as compared to your Search Campaigns. So you might plan your budget accordingly.

Hi,

It depends on which bid strategy you are using for your display campaign CPC or CPM
Display network has very less CPC as compared to search network so you can start with very less budget as compared to search network.
If you are not an expert to judge then you can prefer search network with display select where you can target both the networks with the same set of keywords.
