I know which keywords I would like to target... but how do I decide now how much money to allocate to the campaign?

Hello Tiffany,

You can use the Keyword planner tools from your adwords account to get estimates from cost per click prices for your setup ( location, language, keyword matching type, daily budget ).

You can read more about it here :

It is very important to understand keyword matching options, because normal language keywords are seen as "broad match" in the Adwords software and they also match synonyms :

Hello Tiffany!

From your question, I am assuming that you are the end-user and wanted to run the campaign asap but without reading too much about Google Adwords.

My strategy for you is to let Google automatically give a bid for the campaign within first 1 week. Based on the actual amount you spent of that week, you can figure out how much money you wanna allocate for a monthly budget or daily budget for a specific campaign. However keep in mind that, you must regularly monitor the results to understand whether the recommended bid is fit to your case.

You will have to adjust bid based on your goals, the campaign's statistic,... after the 1st month. Then, you will know how much for a campaign in upcoming months.

If you are into managing a campaign and feel like it's overwhelm, then a training course or hiring agency to manage your account should work best for you.

Good luck
