I don't yet have a website set up. I intend to use just my phone number for potential customers to contact us? How does that work with AdWords?

Hi James

You need to have a website to advertise with AdWords, if you don't have a one you can create it with Google Site. Visit this link to do so : https://www.google.com/work/apps/business/products/sites/

If you have a local business that you want to promote, then you can try AdWords Express, its fast and easy for new advertisers.
You need to create a business page for this: http://www.google.com/business/

Hope that helps..!

Hi James,

You can set up call only campaigns if you don't have a website to provide and only want to drive calls. These ads will only show on mobile devices. I will say that these campaigns are fairly low volume.

To get additional volume, like Abhishek said, you could use AdWords Express if you have a local business. Or, you may want to consider creating a Facebook page for your business or an interim site via a free Wordpress template - even if the primary goal is just to get them to contact you - in order to drive more traffic while you work on building a website.

Good luck!

Hi James,

To reiterate on Call only campaign here what @Amy Bishop said above, I would caution you that even though ads are meant for devices that are capable of making phone calls, but you will have to verify the phone number that you will use in your ad by either of 2 options:-

1.Destination URL should point to a domain that contains the phone number being used.

2. Domain ownership and that's possible when you does have a website to promote.
