How do you stop a company putting 2 adds on 1 word

So company A is advertising on 1 word, then company B, although legally separate, is advertising on the same word yet diverting 100% of the business to company A. Is there anything to prevent this, as company A and B are taking up the top 2 spaces of this particular search word?

Hi Chris G,

If company A and company B are both owned by the same business entity, that would be a violation of the double serving policy.

If company B is completely independent of company A, but directing traffic from their own product pages to company A's web site, as in an affiliate campaign, that's not necessarily a violation of the policy.

I would compare my campaigns and ads to those of your competitors to see what they are doing that you are not, then try to improve on your CTR and QS. You may need to bid a little higher to get that done.

Best of Luck!

Pete

Thank you that's very helpful. I spend a reasonable amount on ad words but can't seem to get my ads above 5 or 6 on QS. I have a company that does it for me and I believe I'm doing all the main things that contribute to a high quality score.

Is there anything else I should be aware of that may improve. I know this may be a difficult question to answer when you have not seen my campaign, but is there anything new that could make a impact?

Chris
