How do I make sure that an ad I cancelled is no longer running?

I believe I cancelled and ad and paid for it while it was running, but now I don't know how to be sure whether or not it has been cancelled.

I want to be sure it isn't running on auto pilot or something and I'm racking up charges.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?  I've looked all over the Google Ads website but couldn't find anything that led me to a list of campaigns.  Thanks.

Hi Dotti,

To ensure your that none of your adverts are running you should pause/delete all of your campaigns.

To do this log into your Google AdWords account here: https://adwords.google.com/

Select 'Campaigns' from the top menu and select all the campaigns in the list.

Next select 'Pause' (or delete) from the 'Edit' drop down menu.
(see screenshot)

This will ensure that none of your adverts are displaying.

If you need to cancel your account you can call Google AdWords UK & Ireland on 0800 169 0409 and entering your Customer ID that can be found in the top right hand corner of your account after you login.

Hope that helps.

All the best,

Spike
