How can tell AdWords that it should take a keyword plus any text but not the keyword only

How can tell AdWords that it should take a keyword plus any text but not the keyword only.

For example, I want my ad to appear when someone searches for " red dresses" , "old dresses", " dresses discounts" , " dresses images" or any other term containing dresses

But I want to not appear if someone types " dresses ".

What should I write in the keywords and in the negative keywords to achieve this?

And make [dresses] as a negative at Ad Group level.
