How can I manage multiple accounts as a freelancer?

I'm a freelancer and need to be able to manage multiple AdWords accounts, ideally from one single login. I created a new Google services login, then created an MCC. A client invited me to manage the account, but when I tried to link to their account I got this message:

A Google Account can only have access to one AdWords account.
The Google Account o***** already has access to an AdWords account.

Can someone please walk me through the steps I need to take to be able to access their AdWords account from my gmail login?

To link a client's account to your MCC, you need to log in to your MCC and use the "Link existing accounts" button. You enter the CID # of the account you want to link to (your client gives you their CID #) and then after the client confirms that, yes, they do want you to have access, the account will show up in your MCC interface.

Make sense?
