How To View Bids In $ instead of INR in keyword planner? (In India)

I am in India using keyword planner to create an Adwords strategy for clients in US. But my account shows suggested bids in Indian rupees. How can I view bids in dollars?

Hi @Hitesh S,

AdWords Keyword Planner uses your account's currency setting to show you the plans and estimates. And as it is not possible to change currency of an account, neither is it possible to access Keyword Planner without logging into an AdWords account, it won't be possible to see data in dollars if the account's default currency is rupees.

Alternatively, to see data in dollars, use an account with dollar as its default currency.

Thanks

Thanks Ratan. But Google should allow the option to do something like this.

I agree with Ratan here. Your only option here is to setup a new account with a $ currency or use an existing account with the said currency.

I also agree with you when you say we should get an option to change the currency in the planner but if you think about it, the technical implementations of the same would be very difficult. The data in the planner is populated basis the region you choose and as per the currency you have set, so basically the planner pings the respective countries server to get you the data, which obviously will be different across different regions.

Changing the server from which the data needs to fetched as per a users instructions would be a task to implement and can take sometime to be populated thereby spoiling user experience, which is a strict No No from Google's standards. Smiley Happy\

Thanks Shashank. I didn't understand the technicality of it but if I have selected the region as let's say New York while I am in India and using an Indian adwords account, even then it's pretty obvious that those bids are $ bids originally.

Just because I am browsing from India, Adwords system is doing some extra effort converting the already available $ data to Rs. data. The bids for New York would be $ bids only, not Rs bids. So I'd guess there is nothing extra needed to be done. Just removing a bit of what's happening.

Hi Hitesh,

We used to have the option on changing currencies earlier in the Keyword Planner.... its has been removed now since the planner is now part of an AdWords account...

One of the simplest ways of overcoming this is within your main MCC, create a few test accounts with different currencies that you would use and when you need estimates in that currency use that specific account...
